Turn any recording
into clean, readable texteven when it switches language mid-sentence
Nigerian English, Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Arabic, French and Spanish. You get a speaker-labelled transcript with notes, action items and an AI you can ask questions. For one person, or for a whole department sharing one pool of hours on one invoice.
What Autrans is
Autrans is a speech-to-text service. You upload an audio or video recording (a meeting, an interview, a lecture, a sermon, a WhatsApp voice note) and it returns a written transcript you can read, search, edit and export.
It is built for how people in Nigeria actually speak. It handles Nigerian English and Nigerian Pidgin, along with Arabic, French and Spanish, and has partial support for Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo, including recordings where the speaker switches between languages mid-sentence. Each transcript is labelled by speaker, and you can generate notes and action items from it, translate it, or ask questions about what was said.
It is used by individuals and by organisations such as a university department, a newsroom or a research team, where several people share one pool of hours on a single invoice.
Signing in with Google is only used to create and access your own Autrans account: we read your name, email address and profile picture so the account has an identity. We do not read, send or manage your Gmail, and your recordings are never used to train any model. See our privacy policy for exactly what is stored and how to delete it.
A new account includes 30 minutes of transcription free each month, with no card required. Paid plans and one-off per-file payments are priced in naira on the pricing page.
Global tools treat Nigerian speech as an edge case
Otter, Rev and the rest were built for American English. We built for the way Nigerians really talk.
Nigerian Pidgin transcribed as spoken, not smoothed into standard English the way general-purpose tools do.
Nigerian English and Pidgin are what we are tuned hardest for, with Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo supported and still improving.
Billed in your own currency, and your audio is encrypted, never used to train AI.
One engine, eight languages, natively, not translated after the fact
How it works
Three steps. No complicated setup. Your transcript is ready for search, AI chat, and export.
Upload your audio
Drop in your file. MP3, WAV, M4A, or any common format. It's stored securely while we get to work.
Get your transcript
We'll transcribe your audio with speaker labels, timestamps, and language detection. Sit back.
Do more with it
Search, summarize, ask AI questions, rename speakers, and export to PDF, DOCX, SRT, or TXT.
Everything you need in one place
Upload, transcribe, search, chat, and export. All from one workspace, no switching between tools.
Built for organisations that record in Nigerian languages
A Pidgin focus group, a Hausa field interview, a Yoruba sermon with English running straight through the middle of it. That is not what general-purpose tools were built for, and it is where we start.
